Before I discovered nutritional therapy and learned how our bodies truly work, I believed that certain symptoms were just normal parts of life. I thought heavy periods, swollen breasts, and mood swings before the period were unavoidable - blamed genetics , because many women in my family experienced the same, or simply part of being a woman.

I also considered rare trips to the toilet, bloating, and stomach discomfort after meals as normal. When I visited my GP, I was told I had the same sensitive gut as my mother, and that these symptoms were just who I am.

However, as I explored how the body communicates with us, I realized that these symptoms are actually signals—messages from our bodies asking for help and attention. What I once saw as normal, I now understand as the body trying to tell us it needs support.
